The European Union’s climate targets for the up-coming decades are ambitious. The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 55 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. Ultimately, the EU is to be completely climate-neutral by 2050. In addition to stricter emissions regulations, growing environmental awareness in society is also demonstrating the importance of sustainability in the automotive industry.
